I have recently joined a new company and have just received my contract although I started working at the company last week. Their policy is to send the contracts after starting work.

My contract has now arrived and states a “3 month notice” requirement from both sides and a statement “that You are reminded you will be in breach of contract if you leave the Company without giving the requisite period of notice. Legal remedies will be pursued for any such breach”

It also says there is a 6 months probation period but does not specify notice during probation.

Any advice on if by not specifying teh notice is 3 months from date of employment is assumed would be useful. want to aks the questions to HR also but do not want them to wrongly assume I am thinking or leaving or questioning the contract in my first week of employment
