Back in September we gave notice to our employees that the manufacturing section of our business would close on 31st December and business would be transferred to China and Slovakia. Letters were issued to relevant employees giving them details of the redundancy package, when their notice period would start and their finish date. 8 out of 15 of the employees involved have now started their notice period. The company is not going ahead with the Slovakia plan and have taken more orders for our plant. They have now decided to revoke the notice of the people involved but several of them have other jobs/commitments arranged. I have had conflicting information from various bodies about paying the redundancy and wondered if anyone had been involved in a similar situation.
