Dear All,

I have recently become tha manager of an employee who works 2.5 days per week (the employee has 2 small children at school / Nursery).

It has been noticed that whenever this employee has any kind of medical appointment, that it is in work hours.

Yesterday I was told that the employee had a dental appointment in work time (she said that her dentist is only open on these hours !! ….).

Where do I stand legally ? – I guess I can request that she books all appointments within the 4.5 days she is not working, but how far can I go in enforcing this ?

PS – I am talking about incidental dental appointments etc. not anything relating to any kind of prolonged issue.

Any pointers would be helpful.
