We have a part-time worker, 2 days per week and the role requires this to become full time. We have approached this employee to see if she would increase her days, but has declined. We thought that the best solution would be to job share, unfortunately we cannot find anyone suitable to cover the other three days. Can we make the 2 day part time worker redundant, and employ a full time worker?

She has been with the company 9 years, initially on a full time basis, has two children, one just under 5 and the other 18 months.
