i have raised pay issue with my line managers on many occasions regarding their wage structure, as an area manager i have earned less than some branch managers.i have taken out grievance against my company and need to know if i am successful in my claim that i can ask for compensation for the length of my under payment.
an area managers accountabilty and responsibilty is far greater than of a branch manager and therefore should be reflected in the pay,i have also learnt that some area managers with smaller turn over areas are been paid more than me and to top that, the new area manager of my previous area was employed on a much higher wage. at one stage iwas told that my old area can not command salary any higher salary.
any advice would be appreciated.
