We currently pay our First Aiders an extra bonus within our profit Share Scheme for the extra responsiblity.  We are interested in updating our Profit Share to make it more fair and easier to administer and are looking into other ways we could reward those who are First Aiders.  At the moment, there is nothing in any contracts about making a payment and in the recent past, Profit Share has not always been payable (due to the economic climate) so the payment is not guaranteed for anyone including the First Aiders and does fluctuate.

I know some companies pay a token extra via payroll…do you?  If so, how do you do it?  What rate do you pay?
