We want to make an offer of employment for a position that deals with very sensitive confidential information, and I’ve been asked to check out the person’s criminal record. I’ve never had to do this before – can anyone advise me who I need to contact/ how I go about it. Do I need to tell the person I’m running this check on them etc?
