We are currently reviewing our return to work discussion sheet under our promoting attendance policy.
We would like to include a standard question relating to drug and alcohol misuse. We were thinking on including a question like Are there any circumstances/issues we should be made aware of e.g. domestic issues, drug/alcohol misuse? We would also then offer support/occupational health etc.
Do you think it is OK to ask such a question from the outset? We just want to make it easier for mgrs to ask the question without feeling uncomfortable so we thought if it was a standard question this would make it easier.
