In November 2008 we made four people redundant. There was a fall off in work in some departments but not across the board.
The redundancies were made in departments where there was less work. We re trained as many peole as we could and transfered
them to other departments. That still left us with more people than we had work for.

Over the months we have seen an upturn in orders and now, in July 2009, we are looking at recruiting in the departments where the redundancies were made.

I believe that there is no time period between making redundancies and recruiting again. Can anyone confirm that this the case?

I know that two of the people we made redundant have found other work. I realise that taking back former workers would save time
in training but are we obliged to approach the people we made redundant?
