I have a group of three workers employed for one contract, which I have lost (there have been a number of internal changes over the last six months so it did not come as a surprise to me). I told the three workers yesterday that I would be moving them on to another contract but to my surprise they have refused to move.
The alternative is exactly the same job with same rate of pay and working conditions.
I can not understand why they have refused and when asked they haven’t come up with anything other than shrugged shoulders.
Are these people redundant, none of them will be due redundancy pay as they have not worked for me for two years, or have they in effect resigned?
