Some staff have received letters stating that they have been selected for ‘provisional redundancy’ and invited to a meeting as if it was Step 2 as per the Statutory Disciplinary Procedure (SDP). Should they be told on what grounds they have been selected in the letter inviting them to a meeting – as a ‘Written Statement’ – which is Step One in the SDP?
