I was made redundant in November 06 from a magazine editors role where I had previously been employed for over five years. I left on good terms with promise from my boss that any future suitable job vacancies would be offered to me.

I have found that as of May 07 a new member of staff has been employed by the same company in the same job as a magazine editor for a very similar new title. Before leaving the company I had suggested this title to my boss and he had turned down my proposal. How long is it before the company are legally allowed to re-employ someone new in a redundant role?
