My colleague (foreign national)has had his request for holiday to attend his sisters wedding abroad refused. He has given over 2 months notice of the date. The employer has refused it without stating why and not given alternatives. Colleague didnt take his full holiday entitlement last year. This seems unreasonable but I think employer is legally entitled to isnt he?
Also the company recently changed from a Ltd Company to a LLP and all staff given P45’s and new contracts. I felt they should have been Tupe’d and ACAS agreed. No new contract has been signed yet
There is other issues with the Company in that no staff are issued with PPE when they handle heavy furniture and are expected to remove shoes in clients homes.
Unsure if the employer is being difficult or genuinly doesnt realise their obligations.
What would anyone suggest the best way of dealing with this.
