We have a number of remployees who need to move home because of business restructuring. As the housing market is so poor,employees are in negative equity and the company cannot support a home sale programme we need to find workable alternative solutions.

Have you found a solution to this which employees have found acceptable? Our ideas revolve around medium term rental of a new property, facilitating rental of their own property. We expect the employee to benefit from say 50% of the rental as “profit” & use the other part to finance the rental at the new location. However this approach will lead to double costs for e.g. removal & disturbance allowanace and some significant tax issues.
