We have a part-time temporary position available which we posted on a professional listserv.  We have gotten two resumes but, once posted, one of our current employees, who is very qualified, expressed a desire for the job.  Do we have to interview the other resume people just because we posted it?  There is nothing in our policy stating that we will always post and interview.  This is New York State if that makes some sort of legal difference.
