I have just recently returned from maternity leave (out of the business for nearly a year) back into an HR Adviser role on a flexible basis.
During my absence, there was an interim brought in to cover. While I was absent, she was made permanent, as my HR Manager believed there was enough workload for two people.
Since I have returned, however, there has been no structure put in place to separate out the workload. This is very uncomfortable for me as I am starting to feel a bit like a spare part within the HR team.
If I was to leave, would I have any sort of claim against the organisation as they have not made any efforts to re-introduce me back into the workplace; indeed, it almost seems as though they are encouraging me to leave.
