My friend is still on maternity leave and not due back until Feb she is not sure if she is going to go back or not.

She found out that due to factory closures 1/2 of her job has gone, and the other 1/2 of her responsability has been given to someone else.

So my question is:
if they offer her another role what form should it take is it like for like?
If she doesn’t want to take that offered job what happens will she get redundancy? if so is the redundancy pay based on her wage or her maternity pay?
