We have recently lost two members of staff who were qualified first aiders in the business and are having difficulty finding willing volunteers to replace them. One suggestion to encourage volunteers to come forward was a one off financial reward as a sweetener. Does anyone use a similar ‘carrot’ and if so what would be a reasonable amount to offer an employee?
