We have many British employees on our payroll from Secretaries to Sr. Consulting Engineers to members of Management. They are all eligible for promotions throughout their career. We have been granting them a fixed percentage increase in base pay upon promotion regardless ofthe nature of the promotion; i.e. ladder vs. supervisory position. In a ladder position, employees continue to do the same work but at a higher level with less supervision while the supervisory would be a totally different set of responsibilities.

Therefore, I would appreciate hearing from you as to what is the typical (average, minima and maxima) rate of increase given to employees in the UK when they are promoted to Ladder vs. Supervisory positions.

Thanks.
