I was absent from work last month for 2 weeks due to sickness. I reported in as requested by our absence procedure and provided self certs and medical certs on my return.
My contract says that for my length of service company sick pay is paid at the discretion of a director. No one told me I wouldn’t be paid and on payday my normal salary was paid.
I’ve just got my payslip for this month and 2 weeks pay has been deducted and 2 weeks SSP added in.
Do they have the right to pay me with one hand and then change their mind and recoup it without even talking to me?
Any help would be appreciated.
