We wish to introduce a Company Sick Pay Scheme whereby employees could be allocated a ‘bank’ of paid sick days determined by the length of service.
For eg. 12 months service to 4 years service = 4 weeks full pay in a 12 month period
5 yrs – 10 years service 8 weeks full pay in a 12 month period. etc
Would we fall foul of the new Age Legislation as the scheme is not allowing ALL employees the same benefit?
Or as it is purely a Contractual Scheme we could operate what we like?
