We have an employee who started with us on a fixed term contract back in August 2007. The contract will expire on the 31st December 2007, and we have now been informed that this employee is pregnant.

It is too early on in the pregnancy for the MATB1 to be issued, but we are assuming the baby is due some time next summer.

Where do we stand with regards to her contract ending on the 31st December.

Does the contract end and we wave goodbye or are there any other obligations we should be aware of.
