Seems self evident to me but just so my judgment is not clouded …
My wife and some fellow employees were notified by letter that they had been promoted and were now on a higher pay grade.
Some fellow employees were reported to be unhappy about the method used and complained about this but did not take out an official grievance.
The Head of the Department has stated verbally, not in writing, that the promotions are suspended but has not set a time limit on this or stated any reason for her action.
What is the legal position here?
