I’m currently working to formulate a budget proposal regarding private medcial cover within an organsiation.

What experience do others have of the take up by employees of private medical insurance(PMI)? This is a taxable benefit and so it’s not automatic for employees to accept this benefit – but how many staff do you feel take up the offer? How much do you find the take up varies with the level of employee?

Does anyone have any experience of offering to fund part of a PMI scheme eg £200 subsidy and asking employees to pay for the rest? If so, what take up have you seen in that situation?
