I have been on suspension now for 6 months with no explanation. I am a permanat night worker Mon – Thurs working 1700-0500. I took this position because it suited my situation as i have to be home at 0700 to take my daughter to nursery. My wife changed her hours so she leaves as i arrive and finnishes work early to pick her up, i am already on my way to work for 1700.
I raised a greivance on 12/09/07 against my manager for Discrimination/Harrassment and bullying. My doctor then booked me off work with stress and developed and ulcer. Whilst off sick i recieved a phone call from my manager stating i have been suspended. I then emailed him 2 asking for an explanation and i have recieced nothing. I have now recieved 2 emails from HR offering me day work only which is no good to my situation. I know i have only been removed as a result of my complaint against my manager as this has happened to others on-site. I then raised another greivance on the 28/01/08 that i have not been treated fairy and in a proffesional manner as stated in the company greivance policy, and that the manager investigating my greivance has told people on-site that i am not right in the head and not normal ( i thought he was to be impartial), as well as revealing other details of my greivance to other members of staff. A engineer on-site gave me a witness statment about the investigating managers conduct whilst investigating him and others witnesses. This engineer has now be removed from site
and thraetened physically and with a reference. Finally i received a letter from HR stating they would like to start the greivance again.
I would like to know what are my options.
Do i have to accept any job offer that they put infront of me even though i can only work nights.
Are my greivance details not supposed to be confidential.
Ther also seems to be no attempt to resolve my greivances. And i have lost faith and trust in their greivance policy.
