This is actually for me. I was made redundant a couple of weeks ago by a consulting firm. My employer said that he would use me as a freelancer as long as there were no legal barriers.

It wouldn’t be to replace my old position, which included internal responsibilities – merely to boost the team when required to meet client commitments.

I’m not planning to set up a company in the near future, so this would be as a self-employed person.

Would there be any barriers to doing this?
