We recently took on the payroll work for a care home which has been in existence for many years.Some staff originally worked “a week in hand” when they started many years ago and apparently there are no remaining records of the amount foregone. There have been many admin staff over the years and paperwork and records were not retained properly.
How much should a leaver be given, would it be wrong to give them 1 week of the current rate?
