Work permit

we are a contact centre with a staff of over 2000 employees. One of our employees who is currently on a student visa (Not an EU resident)has passed an Internal Assessment for the position of a Team leader and is presently working with us. He has finished his university and his visa is about to expire in Dec 05 and he has requested us to apply for a work permit for him. Can you please advise if it is suitable for us to apply for a Work permit for him. Payscale for a Team Leader is £15,000 per annum. and he has been with us for over 18 months now.
