Recognise This! – Knowing the company mission and living the company mission are very different things.

What’s your company mission or vision? Can you recite it off the top of your head (without having to look at the poster on the wall)? If you can, do you know what you, personally, can do to contribute to achieving the mission?

Why do I ask? Employee understanding of company mission and associated values has tremendous impact on employee satisfaction, retention and motivation. From the recently released 2013 Emerging Workforce Study by Spherion (bullets below are quoted):
