Dave Ulrich will explore how effective leadership can benefit the entire organisation creating value for both customers and investors. He will also identify what makes a great leader. By presenting The Leadership Code, he will provide actionable steps to achieve exceptional leadership that can be applied every day.
Gareth Jones will examine how great leaders should leverage their unique individual qualities. Most leadership literature makes the assumption that leadership is something we do to other people whereas in Jones’ view, leadership should be seen as something we do with other people. Leadership must always be viewed as a relationship between the leader and the led, there are no universal leadership characteristics. He will also discuss how great leaders should "be themselves – more – with skill" in order to excite greater performance from their colleagues and teams.
