Recognise This! – Public accolades confirm private awareness.
I’ve always known my company, Globoforce, is a great place to work. Indeed, earlier this year Globoforce was named one of the Best Workplaces in Ireland 2013 by the Great Places To Work Institute, and last year was named the #1 Top Place to Work for small businesses in Massachusetts by The Boston Globe.
Now, we have more confirmation of how our powerful, positive culture of recognition and appreciation stacks up against the best companies in the United States. Today, Globoforce was named by Great Place to Work® as one of the best small and medium workplaces in the United States on their annual 2013 Best Small & Medium Workplaces list, published today in FORTUNE magazine. Ranked number 25, this is the first time Globoforce has received this honor.
In particular, Globoforce was recognised for its commitment to employee motivation and happiness, with its emphasis on culture and recognition as the basis for the award.
- 97 percent of Globoforce’s employees feel appreciated at work
- 99 percent want to remain at the company for a long time
- a full 100 percent say they’re proud to tell others where they work
I was most impressed by what our employees had to say themselves, especially this anonymous comment:
“Whether formal through our Globostars recognition programme or informal through conversations in cubes or hallways, ‘Thank you!’ rings loud and clear across all of Globoforce. I know beyond a doubt that what I do every day makes a difference – to my colleagues and to our customers – because I am told clearly and specifically why and how what I do matters.”
