It’s also not my job to tell you if you screwed up to my advantage?

If you screwed up at work would you admit it? If someone else screwed up would you expect them to admit it?Would you tell someone if you gained as a result of their error? Or is it purely Audit’s and Whistleblower’s jobs to do that – I hope not so why is it different on a football pitch?

There are 2 instances at the world cup yesterday where everyone blamed the ref, linesmen and lack of replay for not picking up what had actually taken place? Perhaps the ref didn’t see but everyone else did – including the team that was benefiting from the incorrect decision. I understand the ref can’t listen to everyone else but might it not have been different if the goalie had put his hand up?

Perhaps I’m being naive but at least a scriptwriter agrees with the sentiment. On the film I watched last night Jennifer Lopez’s character said “Letting someone believe something is true when it’s not is just as much a lie as a lie is.”

Where do you draw the line?
