There’s a lot to talk about when it comes to employee engagement. It’s worth noting that engagement is not the end. It’s the means. The end, of course, is retaining your top talent, ensuring their productive and having those  two measures aid your effort to recruit more just like them.

So what are we doing to ensure we get where we need to go? Most still rely heavily on the survey. Surveys offer only a snap shot of how an employee felt on a particular day. The way I often describe it is that employee engagement is not a project or an annual campaign, but rather a program. There’s not beginning or end. Engagement is every day.

I invite you to read our engagement roadmap. It’s based on the work we do everyday to build engagement within leading companies. It’s not about annual surveys, reward catalogues, or initiatives that circle engagement but don’t deliver. It’s about results.
