Just wanted to add a few words on rejoining HRZ this time with a new name and outlook following some really successful volunteering achievements in 2011 and bringing them into 2012.
I’m currently involved with two organisations that support war veterans, one through direct welfare and the other through a blend of mentoring and befriending – especially useful as this deals with services personnel coming home from battle and conflict zones.
Clients coming forward from battle and conflict are suffering the emotional effects of it all which makes heavy demands on listening, understanding and ‘actualisation’ = this also takes the form of turning advice and guidance into tangible action and positive change.
‘Humpot’ is about confidence, it’s about helping others, it is also about providing mentoring and coaching to people who would not normally be able to access or afford it.
