Lifelong learning and Business-Education Links should be high on the agenda for any incoming government claims the CBI in its ‘Manifesto for Business’.
Timed to coincide with the release of party political manifestos, the CBI’s Manifesto for Business calls on the next government to do more to increase the skills of the UK workforce, and saying that businesses should have a high say in the Learning and Skills Councils and particularly post-16 learning provision.
The manifesto claims that low literacy and numeracy contribute to low productivity from UK workers who have a lower productivity that their German, U.S. and French counterparts.
