Right to Work definition
Having the right to work is considered a fundamental human right and a sign of individual freedom – it is enshrined in the Universal Declaration on Human Rights, which states: "Everyone has the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favourable conditions of work and to protection against unemployment."
In the United States, the right to work also refers to the freedom of an individual to join an organisation without being forced to join a union and pay dues.
A related term is economic freedom, which is the ability for an individual to acquire resources and use these resources in the way they want, trade freely with others and take up employment in any area of choice.
