Editor’s note
=============
Red-tape, the burden of business has reared its head again this
week.

Euro MPs are close to voting on the EU Agency Workers Directive
which would give temporary staff the same rights as permanent
workers after just six weeks in employment.

The CIPD told HRZone that passing this law would ‘seriously
damage’ the temping market.

I wonder what the repercussions for the labour market will be?
Will casual labour and ‘temps’ take their place in the history
books?
