Inland Revenue updates

The Inland Revenue is drawing our attention to its online PAYE service.

And they have also issued information about the forthcoming rise in National Insurance Contributions, and their likely impact.

  1. NI/tax and pensions
    The Labour Party promised not to raise taxes, but to everyone who’ll see emptier pay packets an increase in National Insurance is a tax rise. If the government had sought to increase revenue by increasing Income Tax rather than NI it would have provided a minor additional insentive for employers and employees to invest in pensions, as they would get additional tax relief on pension contributions.
