This year’s Learning at Work Day is set to take place on 20 May.
Organisers, Campaign for Learning, hope to surpass the success of the 2002 event when one million employees were given the chance to break from routine and try their hand at something new.
Susie Parson, Campaign for Learning chief executive said: “Every year’s Learning at Work Day reaches more and more employees, giving them the chance to learn new skills that will help them at work and in their own lives. The energy, enthusiasm and excitement for learning generated on the day are exceptional.”
“In 2004, Learning at Work Day will have one umbrella theme – the many paths to learning at work. One size doesn’t fit all, so this year we have available resources to support various learning approaches, to suit every organisational and individual need.”
Any type or organisation – a large private company, small business, voluntary organisation or Government department – can host activities to show their commitment to staff development.
