Oracle HR

pp_default1

We are planning to roll out Oracle from our parent company in the USA into Europe. Currently we operate in 6 European countries with 200+ employees (predominently UK) and are implementing the HR and payroll modules ahead of the rest.

Anyone able to share experiences and maybe help us see some of the pitfalls before we start the process?

  1. Implementing Oracle HR and Payroll
Caryn, we have just started this process. I imagine that you are further down the line than we are, but it would be great if you could e-mail me, so that I can get some information from you with regards to training strategy and how you went about diong this.

    Kind regards

  2. Verify Data
Whilst I cannot comment directly on Oracle rollout.

I have been projected managed rolling out out an enterprise HR and Payroll soluation on a global basis.

First thing you need to do especially if you are transfering data from an old system into Orcale is verify and standardise the data especially codes and tables data.

When we checked our data we found the same data in about eight or ten different formats or spellings for one item.

Verifing and standardising our data took a good month or so.

If you are planning on checking addresses and postcodes QAS do a piece of software called QuickAddress Batch which will clean all your rubbish data. http://www.qas.com/uk/products/batch.asp

    Hope this helps.
