Sports Council for Wales Steps up the Pace with HR Software Upgrade

pp_default1

The Sports Council for Wales, the organisation responsible for developing and promoting sport and recreation in Wales, has upgraded its software from HR systems supplier, Snowdrop.

The Sports Council for Wales will be upgrading its Spring (recruitment); Evergreen (personnel records management); Fountain (training administration) and U-Access (online access for line managers and employees) modules to Snowdrop version 5.3. These changes will enable all staff to request leave and training & development online, reducing administration time. A link will also be established between Snowdrop and the Sports Council’s existing Payroll provider. This will save time and improve the transfer of information for increased data integrity.

The Sports Council originally implemented Snowdrop’s HR software in 2001 to manage the records of its 200 employees and reduce associated HR administration. The Council has regularly upgraded since then, rolling out online access for line managers and employees, via the U-Access module, in 2006.

With the new functionality, Kerry Chown, HR Manager for the Sports Council, anticipates that the upgrade will assist in further streamlining a number of different HR processes, thereby reducing administration and increasing employee motivation, she comments: “The Sports Council’s Human Resources team can add more value by developing interventions to raise performance. Automating basic processes frees up our time so we are able to achieve this”.

Founded in 1991, Snowdrop is a leading provider of Human Resources & Payroll software and services. Using both technology and consultancy, Snowdrop lets HR and Payroll professionals spend more time on strategic issues and less on administration.
