More than 700 votes were cast in the HR and training categories in this year’s Software Satisfaction Awards, which see some of the larger, established software suppliers lined up against newer arrivals. John Stokdyk reports.
ASR (now part of COA Solutions) and SAP will contest the enterprise HR category against Vizual’s HR.net and Softscape Apex. ASR also features in the mid-range HR shortlist, where it is up against Cascade HR, Snowdrop and Octopus, a web-based challenger.
Confirming that web-hosted “self-service” systems are becoming the norm for HR, more than 75% of respondents in the talent management category used web-based systems.
All of the mid-range and enterprise HR software suppliers now offer web clients for their systems, so more than 50 of the mid-range respondents will use online systems and even if all the hybrids are left out of the equation, 10% of the enterprise sample went to on-demand programs.
Below is the full Software Satisfaction Awards 2008 HR & training shortlist. The winners will be announced at the ceremony on the evening of Thursday 30 October, at The Brewery in London. The Software Satisfaction Annual, containing the detailed results, will be published on the night of the awards and be available as a PDF download the next morning.
