A member of staff has been on the sick for almost a year and, as a result, she has run out of both SSP and contractual sick pay. Having explored all other possibilities we are now considering dismissing her. Her contract says that we must give her 4 weeks’ notice. Firstly, do we have to give her 4 weeks’ pay and, secondly, do we have to pay her for holiday that has accrued during this holiday year but has not been taken?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.
