1 years service, and was told 8 weeks ago that I might be made redundant so that they can reduce payroll costs (am a management consultant).
Prior to the 8 weeks, one of my colleagues resigned to go to a competitor. DURING the 8 weeks another colleague resigned.
No other communication from my employer until yesterday when was told the business is being sold to the competitor where the colleague went to.

My question is, during consultation, should my employer have told me of the proposed sale? Should they have offered me the option of “buying” the clients?

The answer is probably no, but I just wanted to ask as I have my meeting to agree terms on Monday.
