I work in a medium sized law firm and within the next 12 months we are hoping to introduce a performance appraisal system for all fee earners. I would be interested to hear from people in a similar environment (professional services) who use performance appraisal to support the business needs. I would like to understand the advanatages, disadvantages and problems that have arisen from conducting perfromance appraisals.
