We have an employee who is off on sick because she is looking after her elderly mother (she told us this when she first rang in) She has a doctor’s note in for “domestic stress” that will run out next week but we have heard today that she has another note for another month.
We know that she is not ill herself and feel she should be taking unpaid leave or holiday) rather than the company footing the bill.
Is there a way that we should persue this as we understand we cannot withhold ssp if she has a dr’s note?
