Hi All,
Iam seeking advise and guidence please.
I am not a HR expert but work within an in house recruitment department.
I had my 6 month probation review recently and was asked to leave with immediate effect. The reason given was that it was felt that the relationship i had with my stakeholders was so broken that it could not be fixed. I was advised as i am in my probation, i have no right to appeal.
I was not aware that the relationship was broken at any point in my time there and the first i knew of stakeholder concerns was at the probation meeting an hour before being asked to leave the premises.
I am still shocked at the descion and reasoning and feel i have be treated unfairly and i was not made aware of concerns as i say in any 1-2-1’s i had and feel now that my probation was not managed properly.
This is the first time this has ever happened to me in 20 years of working and i really would be grateful for any advise you may have for me and what rights i have.
I am not aware of my companies probation policy, but feel that if there was an issue with my work, that a formal process should have been followed so that it was not a huge surprise to me at being asked to leave during my review.
Should i not have been advised of concerns so i had the opportunity to rectify them and them monitor on my progress with this?
Your thoughts are really welcomed.
Thanks in advance.
