I’m a trustee of a small charity. 

We employed someone on an 18-month grant-funded contract, which was extened for another 12-months.  She went on maternity leave last November and her contract ends at the end of February.  We have gone through a formal redundancy process which she is happy with.

However, we aren’t clear at what point her redundancy payment is due: when her contract of employment ends  (February) or when we stop paying her statutory maternity pay (July).  Also, what should the payment be based on – her full-time salary or her most recent payments (maternity pay)?

Can anyone advise?
