Hi there,
I’m writing to enquire about employment law regarding the awarding of bonuses.
I’m part of a small team who, until May 2006, were on one-year fixed-term contracts. Our continuous employment is all 2 years+ prior to the permanent contract.
We have been informed that we will only receive a “partial bonus” because our permanent status began in May 2006. The bonus period is January to December 2006.
As we have been working for the company for many years, we had hoped we would be entitled to the full 12 months.
Does anyone know if we are able to appeal against this? Or if we will have to be “greatful for what we are getting” – as instructed by our manager?
Many thanks for your time.
