We have just received an approach from a union for recognition. I was wondering what the pitfalls might be if we just refused to recognise and let the union take the CAC approach and ultimately impose an agreement. I am assuming any CAC imposed agreement would be the bare minimum and probably better for the employer than a negotiated one or have I misunderstood the situation?
